How to: Snow Bases

I've come across quite a few people up to the challange of snow bases, yet it never comes out right, so i've devised my own way to bring tundra to a base.

First step is to treat it like a normal base, by applying a stoney layer, and painting it. I used Citidel sand then painted it codex grey, highlighted with a drybrush of bleached bone then skull white. Otherwise the look is unnatural.

Seccondly, the snow flock can be applied. the trick to this is to build up the layers in a natural way, otherwise the snow looks like a white smear of... well you know.
